Obsidian black Black obsidian medium tumbled stones x 1
Medium tumbled stones are approximately 20-30mm
Obsidian is created from volcanic lava eruptions. Although its most common colour is black, obsidian can also be found in black with white dots (snowflake obsidian), which are inclusions of small, white, clustered crystals of cristobalite.
Known also to be seen in brown mottled with black, and black with a beautiful golden, rainbow or silvery sheen.
Rainbow being the most valued. Small nuggets of obsidian that have been naturally smoothed and round by water are called Apache Tears.
Used in past times for weapons such as arrows and spears.
